can’t get the laseer to burn, but it does track. it burns with LaserGRBL without issue. What am i missing

Thank you for the additional info. That helps us help you get back up and running!
I see a couple of things:
You have the latest Ortur firmware running on the laser 
This means that the machine’s attempt to home failed because it didn’t locate a limit switch.
Click on the “ALARM:9” link above for detailed troubleshooting steps.
The docs page also links to the “Troubleshooting Mechanical Issues” page, which is always a good idea to check.
However! This is most likely the reason for the error:
If the power supply is defective, the controller would still be powered and connect over USB, but the motors won’t receive enough power to actually move.
(It’s still a mystery why it worked in LaserGRBL, but make sure the power supply is correctly plugged in and working.)
