LightBurn setup with 3018 Pro: Z-axis no longer works

I’m still struggling to get my 3018 Pro working with LightBurn 1.7.
It was working OK before in LaserGRBL. But I got LightBurn because I needed the rotary roller controls. Now I’m wondering if I can actually get LightBurn working within my 30 day trial period. Just 9 days left.

I’ve been watching setup videos and gradually figuring some things out.
Is there a place in LightBurn for all my 3018 settings (in LaserGRBL there is a Gcode settings page.) The 3018 manual has a list of settings to enter, but where in LightBurn?

So now my Z-axis has stopped working. I used to be able to use the jog controls to move the X, Y, & Z positions around but now the Z-axis control does nothing. I can’t tell if I have made a setting error or if my Z-axis driver got damaged from the auto homing crashing the limits since I have no limit switches before I realized to turn off auto homing. It still worked after turning off auto homing but after watching a video and entering a bunch of settings it no longer works.

A question about drivers. I installed the 3018 driver when I installed LaserGRBL. will LightBurn know where to find the driver or will I need to reinstall it differently?

At one point I successfully ran a test project. The result was a “barely there” image on the wood.

It seems to me there should be a standard set of settings for the 3018 to load from a drop-down menu somewhere.
