LightBurn v2.0.00-RC2 Release Candidate

Any chance an apple silicon native version is coming soon? I was hoping it’d be with 2.0.0

Might have found a BUG!!!

In version 1.7 if you move the head to any position of the laser using the control panel then go into LB and hit the Get Position button it would move the show last position on the screen with the little cross (don’t know what it is called) , worked great. Now with 2.0, the get position button when clicked shows the coordinates but the little cross does not move. If you hit the arrow keys in LB to move the head, it will update the location.

Are you experiencing any issues running LightBurn through Rosetta?

Tony - Get Position is a GBRL ! query, it will always report the current machine coordinates.

So the behaviour is the same on 1.7 to 2.0

Maybe you are referring to “go to Origin” on Laser Panel?

Hello - Another possible bug_
I also noticed in the camera control, Contrast and brightness you cannot set to auto mode. I turned off auto for exposure and white balance to ensure these to do not block the brightness and contrast auto mode. I have tried this with several different cameras.

I am talking about when you hit the get position button with version 1.7 it moved the cross hairs to the exact location on the screen where the laser head is on the bed.

With version 2.0, that button only gives the coordinates but does not move the cross hairs on the screen to the exact location of the laser head.

In order to get the cross hairs to move is by using the 4 arrow keys and then the cross hair is moved in LB to the location of the head.

I have toggled on the show last position on.

I don’t have rosetta on this machine, so I can’t use lightburn on it.

LightBurn should work just fine on M1-M4 MacOs
Just requires Rosetta installed.

I am using it on a M1 Air and M1 mini.

Any reason why not give it a try?

I don’t know how long that’s going to be supported (Rosetta 2 has already been around longer than Rosetta 1 was). I just use lightburn on another machine

With my xtool s1

I figured out what is going on. Whenever you click home button in movement panel, or in the laser panel. what happens is that wherever the laser is, it sets the home position as the current position of the laser, rather than execute a home command.

And I’m using xtool protocol device file, which I use within 1.706 (Which works no issues).

Thought this might give some InSite.

Hello, they are regular under 1.7 but seem to be more present under v2.

Have you tried to make these settings in windows camera

there are workarounds like dual boot mac os / windows, also emulators to run windows

This is completely unnecessary at the moment. LightBurn runs great - only requirement is Rosetta.

Hi I know it works fine, but I bring a second solution if this person does not want to install it, there is also the linux standalone on usb solution

I looked in the camera app in Windows 11, and there are no Auto function available. So with this, if there is no Auto capability for a camera, maybe the Auto capability should be hidden, as this will make people think it is a bug.

@gilaraujo @LightBurn Hello , Any suggestions around the Home function, which I noted what I’m seeing? Just a reminder - "With my Xtool S1
