Line skips when cutting vinyl

I’m cutting vinyl that i put on plywood so i can use it as a stencil. but it isn’t cutting the letters all the way, it is skipping parts of them

Do not cut vinyl with a laser. It will create chlorine gas that is toxic and will ruin your laser.

When you want to lase something, look at the safety information, required by the US government, that details what is safe with the product. There is nowhere, I can find, that the manufacturer even implies Oramask can be used where the product is vaporized by heat. Their own safety documentation states that this information doesn’t apply because the manufacturer doesn’t recommend/expect you to use it this way. You can get laser-safe “vinyl” sheet, which turns out to be polyurethane, although it’s both more expensive and maybe not available in the sizes you want.
