Did you check the physical wiring for the diode? Are your connectors secure?

You are using an old version of firmware you can find the latest here: Support-OLM3

You can try the 2 troubleshooting solutions from our guide: GRBL: Low or No Power Output - LightBurn Documentation

All connections tight. Downloaded firmware and do not know how to load it. The LM3 light flashes blue then three reds. When moving from home the laser fires but stops when it gets to origin
Andy

I have updated the firmware in the LM3 and Lightburn. The laser still will not fire

Jess: any new thughts on solving this problem? Andy

The 20W laser on my Ortur LM3 stopped firing in the middle of a job and now I cannot get it to fire at all. When I turn on the LM3 the light flashed blue then three reds. I have updated the Lightburn software and the Ortur firmware to no avail. Attached is a copy of the console. The error message is “Laser Exposure Timeout! Check Troubleshooting Section of User Manual” I cannot find this in any of the manuals I have. I originally posted this problem on another part of the forum but JessN was not able to help me. Thank you.

@riverwoodsturner it’s a good idea to upgrade your firmware. It looks like it did not get upgraded yet. It’s still on a version from 2022-10-21 and the most recent one is from February 2023: Ortur Firmware Files – Ortur Laser Official Store

Please follow the instructions in Ortur’s video here to upgrade: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX4JIARIoJ0x

Additionally, see if Gil’s suggestion on the same error here helps:

Please let us know!

I believe I upgraded the firmware, see attached. No change. Gil’s response to the other error was not apparent Waiting for connection…

I have pulled all plugs and inspected pins, all fine. I pulled the sd card and reinserted, now laser works as it should. Thank you

Yes, now I see, the firmware did get updated.
That’s good to hear! So, it most likely was a loose connection somewhere.
