Looking for feedback from people who make things with maps

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on Contour Foundry, a website that creates custom map files from a chosen location. Two of its tools may be useful with LightBurn:

  • Street maps: SVG files with streets, buildings, water, parks, lettering and other available features separated into layers.

  • Terrain relief: stacked contour SVG layers for building physical relief maps, or contour-line artwork for cutting and engraving projects.

The files are intended to be imported into LightBurn, where you assign your own cut, score and engraving settings. They don’t contain machine settings or an LBRN2 project—the output is editable artwork that you prepare for your own machine and materials.

I’d appreciate feedback from experienced LightBurn users:

Constructive criticism is very welcome.

Thank you Ed,
Looking for related history because this looks strangely familliar.

Maybe you can describe what you have done, and how you turned their files into a laser project. Was it hard or easy? Was it easy to select the appropriate layers for your Lightburn project? Post an image of one of your projects.
