Low Power Sculpfun IR-2

Good afternoon, I started the topic a while ago:

and they helped me a lot, I got the head to turn on, move and receive the orders, but it has no power, the red light comes on (it’s the guide I understand) but it doesn’t record or cut. Could you help me, thank you very much!!

Plug the laser signal cable into the 5V port. The laser should now fire constantly with 100% power. If this doesn’t work, the laser signal cable is the issue.

Or, before you can try to measure if there is any signal on the PWM pin at the laser head.
Maybe show some pictures of the wiring and setup you have now.

Hi Melvin, thanks for responding!
When I reconnect the S9 it records perfectly, with that I would rule out that it is the cable, I send the image as I need.

Which materials did you test on? Your schematic seems to be ok. That shouldn’t be the issue.

I did the test on MDF and I can’t get it to mark.

Hello, I still have the same problem. I measured the PWM with the green image cable disconnected. I sent a recording at 100% and the multimeter indicated 5V. I understand that this part would be fine. Any other ideas to help me? Thanks.

Did you try any metal material to mark on? I don’t know how well an IR laser will treat MDF.

My fiber is pretty bad with wood products and isn’t recommended for natural products.
