I’m trying to connect a new Ortur LM3 to a Mac Air M1 running Sonoma 14 via USB. The scan does not find the device and the manual connection also does not work. In the connection pull down all I get is “cu.wlan-debug”, no USB option. I’ve tried several cables and both ports on the mac with no results. The LM3 has the green light on and appears to be ready but I can’t connect.
Try this on the dropdown list when manually adding the device, look for this in the drop down list:
cu.usbmodem497F3547
May be the last item in the list.
Sometimes I have the cu.usbmodem497… option but usually the only option in the pull down is cu.wlan-debug. I can’t find any explanation as to why that’s there. I got the usb working for an hour or so and then configured the wifi connection. That worked for a few hours and then that stopped and wont connect.
Have you checked Ortur’s website to see if there is a firmware update?

I’ve recently started with a falcon on my macbook and had the same initial connection issue. I had a cheap usbc hub thats a brick and yep, fixed. In the hope of getting a more civilised connection I went a bought apples usbc to usba short adaptor and gave it a try with the same cord, but it failed. Funnily enough I had a few OTG adaptors and made a Frankenstein cable using the same Apple adaptor and it worked! Who knows…
