In my quest to test “whatever filament I have loaded” with the IR laser, I remembered I had glow in the dark PLA loaded in one of my printers. So. We’ll have a go.
Glow in the dark PLA + IR laser
100% power, 0.08 interval, fill svg.
Under regular light;
Looks mostly just blank white, you can barely catch some of the etch if you look hard enough, but a quick glance you’ll never see it.
Charged a bit and glowing;
Oops, we found him! Possibly bringing down the power a little, say 75-80% might help hide the in-light version, but I don’t know the detriment to how it shows under glow.
Figured this was an interesting find, so thought I’d share.
