Making a cookie cutter from the offset of a text

Hi I am wanting to make 3d cutters from my laser embossed acrylic stamps. I have tried offsetting on lightburn then making a stamp from fusion but the offset doesnt work. is there a simpler way to do this or simpler programme?

Picture for refernce is from laser doodle on etsy

I’ve done this. It’s been a while, but I believe all I did was select all, then offset. Maybe group them first. I remember it being fast and simple.

What is offset giving you?

hi chris thanks for responding, it does create an offset in lightburn, but when exporting and importing that into fusion, its not a clear line, its thousands of tiny nodes so it makes it difficult to shape into a cutter!

Ah! I misunderstood. Are those nodes present in Lightburn? If so, this may helpful:

There is a similar feature set in the offset dialog that may shortcut it a bit. IME, it’s not perfect but with careful tuning can significantly reduce nodes. Unfortunately, I have zero experience with Fusion or this particular workflow, so I can’t really help on the CAD end of this problem…which is a bit frustrating since I spent a couple decades working with CAD. Just nothing terribly applicable in this instance.
