When running lightburn 1.7 and not opening any project and open the material test dialog if I press the edit text button the title shows text from a previous project that is not even loaded for the “blue layer”.
Is this the expected behavior or a bug?
I think material test is just loading a layer and whatever you have set for that layer. And what you have set that layer to do, such as use these settings for default.
I had something similar on the boarder setting. It was Filling the entire box. I had to reset to default on the red layer.

I have 3 different machines and dozens of projects. Making, or assuming, a default setting for a layer is useless. I make sure each layer in the current project has ALL the correct settings.
If you do a lot of one-off projects, this is a must. Production runs have different rules.
Try enabling this setting. That will load defaults when you open Lightburn and any changes you made to layer names etc. will be gone, unless you saved them as default.
