As a reminder, Release Candidates are versions of our software that we consider very stable, and nearly ready for final release, but still require a short period of public testing before we make them official.
To help you get started with MillMage, we’ve also been hard at work documenting its features. You can view our documentation here, but please note that it, too, is in a “nearly ready” state, and don’t hesitate to offer feedback (or point out our typos).
- Check out our Fact Sheet for information on MillMage’s capabilities and machine compatibility.
- See MillMage for LightBurn Users for information on some crucial differences between MillMage and LightBurn.
- Visit the Get Started section for our beginner guide, from installation to first time set up. We’ll soon be expanding this section to include a step-by-step guide on completing your first project with MillMage, a simple catch all tray.
Before you head off to explore MillMage, there are a couple more things you need to know:
To start using MillMage, you’ll need to activate a 30 day trial. If the Release Candidate period lasts longer than 30 days, don’t worry, you’ll be able to extend the trial in the same window you first activated it.
In order to safely and effectively operate your machine with MillMage, you will require a firm understanding of CNC fundamentals and best practices. If you’re a CNC beginner, please consult your machine’s manufacturer for resources on getting started with your specific hardware.
Once you’re up and running, let us know what you think — we can’t wait to hear your feedback!
Please report any unexpected behavior in the MillMage Software Questions section of our forum, including screenshots and as much detail as possible. For hardware compatibility questions, ask in the MillMage Hardware Compatibility section.
FAQ: MillMage will be USD$199, marked down to $149 at launch.
