Well, things were going along pretty well this morning, until they weren’t I was doing some test cuts on a piece of scrap wood and runs 1-6 were looking good (see photo). On run 7, though, either LightBurn or the K40 got confused - even though the laser would home correctly, it would cut a position different than my LB drawing. It really got wierd with runs 8 and 9, where the placement was totally off, text was backwards, and the cut pattern was upside down. Any
Thanks Jack. The origin was set correctly, and the first runs cut and engraved correctly, but then things started to go south. I’m going to rerun the test patterns this morning and see if the problem recurs…
I setup a new cut and engrave layout in Lightburn, but when I connected the laptop to the Monport K40 and opened the file in Lightburn, all of the elements in the layout turned upside down. This appears to be a Lightburn issue/setting, but I am not aware of making any changes since my first successful run the other day. I’ve attached photos to show the Lightburn screen and settings, as well as the K40 in the Home position
