My CO2 laser make weird moves, any solution?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought my first CO2 laser. Previously, I had a diode laser, the Ortur Aufero 2, so this is all new to me.

When I start a program, the laser begins engraving but suddenly starts making strange paths, skipping lines, and adding small dots to the engraving. I believe it’s shifting the entire image during engraving, which makes it look like dots.

I’ve aligned the beam and tightened the belts, but the issue persists. I’ve taken some pictures so you can see what it looks like.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

what kinda controller does it have?

@Enno it’s a Ruida… noted as a keyword in his title.

It would be nice if you can post a video… Also your .lbrn2 file for us to examine.

You can post a video on something like a google drive and leave the link here.

Is this a legitimate piece of software? Sometimes hacked will give you strange results.

The machine looks pretty used. How do you sent files, do you sent a file to the controller then start from the machine or do you directly start from lightburn? If you start directly you can try to sent it to the controller first.

Check the tubes resonance mode. Check at m1 for a good TEM00 mode.
