did update and now cant move AND THEN STARTED STOPPING HALF WAY THROUGH BURN
Hi Darrell,
When it happens at the same spot every time, that’s a “good thing”! It means we should be able to find the cause.
It’s important to know what you updated. Did you install the latest LightBurn version or update the firmware of your laser?
The Console Window in LightBurn should show an error when this happens. Please paste the output here, so we may have a look.
If you can attach the project file you were sending to the laser, that would also help us help you.
I updated the latex version of LightBurn
Hi Darrell,
Can you go to File > Preferences > Load Prefs Backup and restore to a date that was before you started experiencing this issue?
i did as you suggested and it work a few times and now doing it again. i got a new data cable , i noticed today that i am losing connection with laser. A little more info- i burnt a 1.5 hr test job and it worked great so i did a real one and it stopped
here is the message i got
[SC7A20:(305) Shock and Movement detected! Check TroubleShooting Section in User Manual.]
Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro S2 Ready!
OLF 183.
[MSG: Warning: Flame Sensor Disabled by User OverRide]
[MSG: Flame detector active,Ambient infrared value:0]
Grbl 1.1f [‘$’ for help]
[MSG:‘$H’|‘$X’ to unlock]
[MSG: Power saving Mode enabled. Ortur powering off]
What did you do differently in this “1.5 hr test job”, that might explain why it completed?
SC7A20 is an accelerometer IC chip on your controller board responsible for the “Shock and Movement detection”.
Did you possibly move the laser during operation?
If it’s falsely triggering, you should reach out to Ortur. I was unable to find instructions on how to turn this feature off on your controller.
This is very helpful. It appears that you’ve already entered a command to shut off the infrared (flame) sensor.
I searched for Shock and Movement Detected and for the particular model of the Laser Engraver.
There are detailed instructions here to shut off the sensor:
Your firmware, indicated by the OLF number, is newer and the fix should be this.
Years ago, some folks would have the error message show up when they moved the laser engraver to a lighter, slightly more wobbly table and return to working perfectly when on a stable surface.
Please let us know if the physical location of the laser engraver changed between working and not working, and if the above fix resolved the Shock and Movement message.
