Need Help with "O"

Does anyone have a good typeface to use with Lightburn so that the center of a lower case “O” remains after lasering? I would like to avoid trying to find the cutout center part and glueing it separately. I’m working on a Mother’s Day project that has a 65 MM heart with “Mom” cut out of the center.

I’m doing a bunch of these for my grandchildren and would prefer not to glue in that missing “o” center piece if possible.

As far as I know you have to put some kind of structure to attach the center to the rest of the design.

This link may help.

You can do what @jkwilborn provided with just about any typeface that has solid letters. Not difficult either.

Hi @karlsangree

Just to add something for completeness, LightBurn simply works with any font you have installed on your computer, it doesn’t come with fonts, you bring the fonts yourself! So where to get fonts? I always start with the easiest way to get a font I know of and that is Google fonts.

The link above already has a search entered for Stencil and a stencil font already has joins to stop the letters falling out.

Some are more suitable for a “MOM” in a love heart than others, depending on the Mom in question, I guess.
