Na, I’ve already painted another layer of Flat White over it. It’s all good. Just wasn’t expecting that Orange Peel Look with the roller. I have one completed that I liked before I started to spray a clear lacquer over it. It’s yellowed the white paint somewhat now.
Not sure how much more of this I’m going to play with to be honest. When you factor in the Time, Money, etc… I’d have to sell these things for 75.00 each to make it worth it…
Process: Cut the circle, and stained with Walnut Stain. Wood is some of that wood I bought at Home Depot last weekend. Some kind of birch. Floral and lettering was MDF. I sealed up the MDF first with 2 coats of MinWax Sanding Sealer.
Lightly sanding with 1000 grit paper. Painted it with White Acrylic paint from Wally World. Matte Finish. 2 coats. Masked off and lasered. Weeded off the tape and glued to the base.
My thoughts? Too much time and effort with minimal return on cost and time. Wasn’t a total waste. A Woman bought the first one, and wanted a 2nd so it was a clear process on how to get it done now.
