New NEJE Master 2S Plus Settings possible reversed axis

Hello,
Just bought a NEJE Master 2S Plus, and cannot get it to align o reflect what I’m doing in light burn. I have tried the different downloads available for the unit regarding machine settings, and they have fixed the speed issue with the machine.
However… I have placed the home selector on all four corners and gotten similar results. For example, with the control panel facing me, home set to lower right, if I draw a circle in that corner, when I hit run it goes to the far side of that axis and burns the circle. It’s like there is something reversed on the long axis. Has anyone seen this or have a solution?

I believe the intended orientation of that laser is with the controller facing toward the back. The red portion of the laser module should be facing toward you.

Origin in Device Settings should be on lower-left dot.

Can you try in that configuration and report back?

Hi berainlb, Thanks for the help!!
I tried that, and relocating the home to other four corners. Following your position guide, with the controller towards the back and the laser arm perpendicular, and the actual machine Home would be on the corner by the controller and the laser arm retracted back to the controller. └─ viewed from above, with home in the lower left corner. If I set home to this position in Lightburn, with a small circle drawn in that corner, the laser head stays retracted to that axis but slews to the right and burns the circle. └─• It does the same movement when the other three corners are selected. The machine dimensions are set at 420 wide and 255 high.
I’m stumped!!

Have you changed any GRBL configuration settings either through Machine Settings or via Console?

Can you do the following:

1. send a photo of the laser as viewed from your normal perspective?
2. send a screenshot of Device Settings
3. Enter these commands into Console after a homing cycle and copy/paste results

The machine needs to be oriented like this:

Make sure that Origin is set to lower-left in Device Settings:

Also, your dimensions are actually 255 mm on X (wide) and 420 mm on Y (tall). Not 420x255 mm. Make sure that’s what you put in Device Settings for work area.

Also, for some reason your Y max travel is set for 440 mm. Let’s change that to meet spec.

Run this in Console:

$131=420

If you find that you have room to spare then you can extend this later.

After homing, your the position of your laser if you do a “Get Position” in the move window should be 0,420.

Your laser does not home to 0,0. And lower-left is your origin. Do not get confused by people saying that home and origin is the same. It’s not in your case.

This got it working and me to understand the need to take into account that with this unit the home and origin are different locations. Got it burning and in order!!
