I just started with lazer engraving. I have an xtool 40w and 10w…
I like it, i like learning to use lightburn. But i have one issue thats driving me nuts… i see other people with the same issues, but the solutions they used aren’t working for me…
I want to frame my project with the crosshairs, it makes it easier for me to line things up… when i frame it, its perfect, but when i cut or engrave, its in a different spot… down below it. I disabled the offset ( where it shows -16mm ) but nothing changes either on or off. I haven’t changed any settings, also i have only downloaded lightburn… no other programs…

xTools D1 Pro - Laser Offset settings - 40w

I just got the xtools d1 pro 40w kit and I can’t figure out good offset settings for the laser offset. It seems like no matter what I set it to it’s off, and isn’t consistent. The default setting is x-16mm,y0, but it should be something like x0mm,y-26mm. I set it to that, but it’s still offsetting something around x-10. I’m kind of baffled at this point. Everything works fine in xTool’s software. Any ideas?
