OLM3 not working anymore, constantly on reset mode (RGB cycle) ; Firmwares updates all failing

Hi,

At first, my OLM3 used to work on the 209 firmware with the wifi. Then, after a Lightburn Update, it’s been only working on USB since 1,5 year ago, and since then, I had to stand a pretty annoying “BEEEEP BEEP BEEEEP” while the laser was on (I’ve read on forum that I wasn’t the only one suffering from this : it was, in morse code : -.- -.- -.-).

As I had spent two days of struggle to make Lightburn recognize the machine again. I swore to myself to never agree to any update anymore. But after 1,5 year of half-hell (only half, because the laser was still working really well), I changed my mind. This “BEEEEP BEEP BEEEEP” was driving me crazy.

So I tried the 212 firmware.

Then I asked Ortur and they sent me the 211 saying the 212 has some bugs.

For these two, same result when I paste the firmware : short green light, then the disk is ejected, it lights blinking white a few seconds and shut down. Then, when I turn the laser on again, it’s automatically on reset mode (RGB cycle) (even if I don’t press reset, then power, then release reset, then release power).

I also tried to set back the 209 version and the first result is different : red light → then twice : 5 beeps, one long, four shorts. Then it gets ejected, shuts down, and it’s still on reset mode when I turn it on again.

(All these results are the same on Mac OS, and Windows)

About my TF Card : the original one is definitely corrupted, at least since the global shut down last week (but maybe since the BEEEEP BEEP BEEP era, which started 1,5 year ago : I had never tried to unplug the TF card until now).

I have tried on Mac and Windows, with different adaptors : I can’t open it anymore.

The manual says that “before starting the machine for use, you must insert the TF card otherwise the operation of the machine will have problems”. CHAT GPT says it might contain some hidden configuration files.

So, I asked Ortur to send me the TF pack contents, but, as they confirmed, it only contains documents files (manual, advices etc.). And the support told me it wasn’t “necessary to set the firmware”.

But still, they also told me to try with an empty TF card plugged if the firmware didn’t set up properly… So, if I get it right (I don’t), this TF Card might be useful (or not) but not for the reasons you think (or maybe yes).

So, before I call it a WTF card, can anyone explain me what this card purpose is when it’s about setting the firmware ? ^^

And more generally, can anyone help me bring my baby back to life ?? :sob: :folded_hands:

Thanks in advance to my future hero !
