Will the Z Axis Control in beta work with an Omni X?
I don’t know much about these, but here’s a thread that might help.
Generally, if you want Z control, it has to operate with EZCad3 as far as I know.
Maybe someone from Lightburn, such as @Aaron.F, can confirm this…?

From the 2.1 Release notes:
This also applies to BSL- and EZ2 machines, not only EZ3.
I’ve just tested this on the Omni X and can confirm that jogging the Z-Axis from the device settings is working. (It’s on “Motor 2” in the Device Settings.)
The Omni X does not appear to have a limit switch, and I’m not sure we know the commands to use the distance sensor’s data, so Homing won’t work yet.
This will be needed to implement an autofocus feature, which will be next.
Therefore, at this point, it doesn’t offer any advantages over the up/down buttons on the device itself.
I mistakenly thought the galvo buttons weren’t working. I tested this again myself and to my surprise they did. This is way better than the physical buttons as they are ultra precise micro steps in comparison and helped me fine tune a glass engraving with precision. Thank you for adding this!
