AFAICT the P2 “chiller” uses a radiator, not a refrigerator, so it can’t keep up with the heat load on a warm day. I started with a bucket + ice packs, moved to a cheap icemaker, and now have a real refrigerator.
I have not yet added a rotary, but I really like these straightforward versions:
The exhaust fan is likely a straightforward blower which needs a hose to a nearby window / flue, which is about what my machine came with. I immediately upgraded that to an inline blower vented to an unused flue and now to a basement window.
So add five or six Benjamins to the OMTech and it’s still a kilobuck less than the xTool.
Also, I expect those fancy “smart cameras” in the P2 will work poorly / not at all with LightBurn, so maybe add a Jackson or two for a suitable USB camera.
What’s conspicuous in this thread is the complete lack of P2 owners piling on to say what a wonderful experience they’re having.
I’m a firm believer in one experience outweighing a zillion opinions, but the casual search suggested by @MikeyH earlier suggests the experiences and opinions are pretty well aligned.
