Hiya guys I’m new to this and I have just bought a ortur laser master 2 I’ve built it plugged into the the mains it homes but when in the home position few about 7 or 8 seconds it’s making a loud humming noise like the motor is still running then it stops, is this normal please.
Based on your description this doesn’t sound normal. There shouldn’t be anything coming from your machine that I would characterize as loud. Things should happen methodically and mechanically but without drama.
Does homing complete normally with hitting the limit switches once, bouncing off, then back again to reactivate switches, and then a final back-off? It should then come to a rest with very little noise.
Perhaps take a video of what you’re experiencing if you’re still unsure.
