Have been running Ortur Laser Master 2 with GRBL for about a year and have engraved hundreds of time. Now recently and intermittently and now permanently, everything seems fine at first but then only get a faint beam with no engraving. It first it would resolve itself but now it is permanent.
I have not changed any of the settings or the wiring. When intermittently, it was working fine and then the laser beam went from bright to faint with no engraving. The laser continued to run the intended path with fan running with the red and blue light on.
Depending on how you used your laser it’s possible that the diode is done. I’ve been told they have a limited life and that the higher power you use on a normal basis the shorter the life is.
Not saying this is what’s happened. It’s just one of many possibilities.
