when i try to burn a picture it just a solid burn with no details no matter what my setting are and sometimes it wont let me load an image it gives me alarm 2 and shutdown.

IT WORKS JUST FINE IN THE PROGRAM THAT CAME WITH THE LASER BUT NOT IN LIGHTBURN.

Alarm 2 = Print outside area. In other words you trying to print in an area outside the 400x430
I suspect you are using User Defined as job origin, try absolute coordenates or current position
