so i have a Ortur LM2 Pro S2 and a rotary device i build for my CNC but the rotary uses a NEMA23 Stepper Motor (the ortur laser nema17), is there any way i can connect the rotary setup to my laser?
Can i change the current/ voltage output of the Ortur Controller?
That is a question you should ask Ortur.
What is at risk: The NEMA 23 draws way more current than the NEMA 17 stepper. You risk blowing the driver board due to the increased current demand. Your drivers are likely rated lower than the NEMA 23 requirement. Proceed at your own risk.
Option: Replace the stepper in the rotary for a smaller motor.
