Retries this morning and instead of typing what I recalled from memory (to avoid me giving any misinformation) I ran through the entire process again.
Connected YRR 2.0 rotary cable to the Y axis cable by detaching the Marked “Y” axis servo and plugging the YRR 2.0 cable in its place.
Connected the USB cable from the Ortur LM 2 to my MacBook Pro
Connected 2 power adapters that power the following::: (1) Ortur LM2
and
(2) LU2-10A Laser module and the Adapter board.,
Powered everything on and verified.
Powered on the Ortur using front panel power button by press and holding for 5 seconds until blue and red led flash indicating USB is ready and unit is powered on)
Then launched Lightburn (currently running ver. 1.4.05) checked for updates in software comes back with “Your version is up to date (1.4.05)
Now here is the interesting part:
I noticed next to devices (Auto) is present yet no device is being selected by the software automatically.
In contrast when I run with Non Rotary settings the system automatically finds the Ortur as cu.usbmodem00585C5D48381
So in this case I pick the aforementioned and it goes from “waiting for connection….” to the Ortur LM2
And showing ok as a connection has been established.
I go to machine settings all appears to be ok
In the softwares console (Per the instructions included with the YRR 2.0)
I type in $22=0 (enter) “ok”
I type in $141=600 (enter) “error:3
Grbl’$’ system command was not recognized or supported.”
I type in $101=80 (enter)”ok”
I go to the Laser tools tab and select rotary setup
I made sure Rotary type is set to Roller
Enable Rotary is on
Y Axis is selected mirror output is off
In Rotary Axis I have set 63.00 mm per rotation
Roller Diameter is set to 20.000 mm
(as per the Instructions included with the YRR 2.0
I inputed the object diameter at 72.760 mm
The software calculated and input a circumference of 228.582mm
If I hit the “Test” button nothing happens mechanically and I get the error 9 message
I can repeat the entire process via a complete power off and shutdown restart process skip the “Test” button
draw a rectangle give it a value for speed and power and ensure output is on, show is on, air is on just as if I were going to burn it on a surface
When try to frame and in console this comes up: the same with attempting to burn it.
