Hello!
I’m having an issue with my new LM3 and I can’t find out what’s happening.
For some reason, when I try to move the X axis, to cut or even just to preview the area, it does move well some times and other times it don’t and does a kind of vibration. I’ll leave a little video showing the problem.
What are you attempting to do in the video? Are you jogging the laser with the controls in Move window?
If so, it’s possible your belts are improperly tensioned. Make sure you’ve removed all slack from the belt.
It may also be an issue where the pinion gear is not properly tensioned against the stepper shaft. Check for any lost motion in those places and correct for it. If the pinion gear is slipping then you can resecure them with the grub screws located at the base of the gear.
How can I adjust it.
It didn’t fix anything
What exactly did you do? What did you find, what did you adjust, and what was the result?
If you look carefully at the chain of motion from stepper motor to belt to head… can you see if any motion is lost?
Separately, what speed setting is the Move control set to? It’s possible you’ve set too high a value.
you are missing a phase on your X
Can you send a upclose image of your motherboard connector, with and without main harness plugged in?
Where exactly is it?
All looks perfect. Let me ask please
could you do the video moving X and Y in 10mm increments
but record the machine showing the X motor working This ange:
Alright, let me turn it on.
I cant be certain but did you check if the sproket, the black pulley that moves the belt
is fuly tighten to the shaft?
check the 2 little screw and see if you can tighten them more
Alternativly, if you have your YRR cable. CAn you move X back a bit
Plug YRR cable to the back port, and to the motor X
then switch /YRR/Ymotor swith to YRR and try moving Y instead of X please
same issue happens?
