What we see here isn’t the Flame Detector alarm. This is just a friendly reminder that you have tweaked / disabled the setting and basically shut the sensor off.

This is a very nicely optioned engraver.

Just to confirm, Your laser engraver is working, then it stops, then the above message appears?

This is your engraver restarting. This can be caused by a power interruption, or a communication interruption. Are you using a short, Shielded USB cable with the Ferrite Beads on it?

Ortur has released a firmware update in March this year.
This may address the symptoms you’re observing.

Please update your Firmware to the latest version:
https://ortur.tech/latest-firmware/

I will move this into the Ortur laser section where you’ll get more constructive advice from the community.

hi and thanks for reply i am using the cable that came with it not ever had any issues

and yes this happens when the laser starts a job

@OrturTech - Hey Gil, The engraver seems to restart shortly after starting a job (with no error message). Is communication, power or firmware the next likely path toward diagnosis?

My OLM2 was randomly stopping until I found out about the static issue.
They have a kit available for the asking that will properly ground all the parts of the frame. It may help. The poly wheels rolling on the belt and the anodized frame build up a heck of a static charge that, when it discharges, will reboot the controller, sometimes without shutting the laser off…
The solution for that (and it may or may not be your problem) is adding a wire to every part of the frame and bringing these back to a common ground.

i have a 800×400 bed size it is set as 777×390 and has never been changed

if i tell laser to go upwards 400m thats fine it will do that but if i put 410 it wont go any were then says this

ok
see device settings its says what size bed i have

I’m curious about something, your X max travel (from your $$ output) is $130=400, but in Device settings it’s 390. Your Y max travel is $131=400 but in Device settings it’s 777. These numbers should match (someone please correct me if I’m wrong), so what I’m wondering about, is your work area 800mm deep (Y axis) and 400mm wide (X axis) or is it 400mm deep and 800mm wide? I’m just trying to visualize your setup.
