Power issues on Longer ray5 20w

Hello.
I"m new in laser engravement.
I bought few weeks ago an Longer ray5 20w
It takes time for me to understand tools and how it works and after a lot of test, I saw in the notice for wood 20% of power and 4000mm/m is needed.
But i need more power to get engravement,so i made a material test, and lire you can see more power is needed to get traces.
I saw some youtubers review about this model and it looks like working as the manual specs.

Donc you think i mt could be some software issue ?thanks

Not all wood is created equal. So this is a ball park figure.

Use the materials test with a wider speed range and smaller steps.
