Problem with one of Axis

Hey guys,

From the begin, i bought chinese laser engraver machine who had kind a low voltage laser, so i buy a new one with more power and with this one i had to buy new motherboard, now i already have both but cant use well because i cant connect Y axis, X and Laser works fine, but Y just make some noise a do nothing, i tried some seller options like change cables A+, B- etc. Or change drivers positions but that did not helped to, so maybe one of you had some problem like this and know how to fix this big big pain of my head

If you need a detailed information about machine, laser or motherboard just tell

video, maybe that would help understand my problem

connect X cable to Y motor and move X, if it works connect X cable again to Y but in motherboard then move Y if works your previous Y cable was defective, if still don’t work try to Exchange drivers, i mean put X driver on Y socket on MB, then try to move Y, if works your Y driver is damaged.

Thanks for helping @killrob , then i put y cable in x port on mb, y works fine, im sure this is not driver problem because i changed them from working mb and problem was the same, so probably its y cable problem , there is some letters like A+, A- on mb, how to connect correctly these pins in port, how to know which colors means that letters?

Ok is not so difficult, if X cable works fine on Y you have to do one simple thing, check the color of the 4 wires in X cable on both sides, motor side and motherboard side, and copy exactly in Y cable, then test if work.

@killrob X not working in Y, but Y in X Works, and one more thing in other motherboard both axis works

But you used Y cable or X cable to make this test?

If both works on another MB and is not cabling neither drivers the only thing that can be is the Y socket on that MB that is broken

Okay thanks, i will contact seller for that problem. One more thing, with other MB im using Neje laser, so for that need interface adapter, then i trying to cut something laser turn on but not enough, i have to push test button on interface adapter for burn something, where can be problem here?

@killrob once again, then i ask lightburn for a start burn laser turn on, only for lights, for laser i need to push test button

What neje do you have? I have A40630 and works like expected.
There are 2 interface adapters that neje gives with the module, first is the one i see in your pict and the second is the one with button to push to activate it. Which is the one you have used? And tell me also the value you have in $30 and in s-value max, they both have to be 1000 or 255

@killrob without activate button, head is laser 40w and other, problem is i cant do $30 to that because mine motherboard is only to $27 so im using m3 lightburn version

Looks like we have the same machine mine is too twotrees, but i burned original motherboard, which one you are using?

Mine is a self made corexy with MKS DLC V1.2 and A40630 as laser module

Ok so you have 0.9j or similar firmware, possibilities for you to upgrade it to 1.1h?
With that firmware you will solve a lot of your issues

How i have to do that?

@killrob i mean, did i need to get new mb with 1.1?

If you can’t flash a new firmware on your actual MB, yes

Which program you recommend for flash?
