Link from RC-1 works but not RC-2 (Windows)
The Lightburn people are aware of the problem, I just wanted to hear if it was resolved because a friend called me up and asked me for help.
Still working on it - the weekend makes it all go… Slower
Oh, sorry.
Figured since others were getting it to work that the problem had been resolved. My apologies.
No problem at all, thanks to Peter and Gil
Windows 11 and Avast.
I´ve downloaded and installed it 2 days ago without anti-virus problems.
Antivirus warning/alarm is not the problem, the windows version link is broken.
If you prepend files.
to the start of the domain in the URL for the Windows download it should work correctly.
Should look like https://files.release.lightburnsoftware.com
.
Thank you @berainlb
Windows TEMP LINK while we figure it out
While this does allow you download, it’s instantly blocked by chrome stating it considered a dangerous file.
Chrome is still saying it’s a dangerous file. Is it safe to say it just because it’s an exe with an uncommon name from an uncommon URL?
Yes it is a false positive.
This is what we are investigating - why chrome detects it like that
Ok, well even with your temp link it will not let me save it at all. There is not “keep it anyway” option.
Although Edge (chrome engine) allows me to download it without issue.
This is exactly what is puzzling. So does FireFox.
Chrome is being picky for some reason
Are we supposed to also shrink down the AprilTag downloadable files to 6x9?
I have a K40 and not really sure what 1/9 means in a 300x200 bed area.
Do we use the AprilTag version the same way as the circle one where you move it to the corners and center etc.
Seem to work fine on Win 10.
Unless I’m missing something, it would be nice if it would have option to cut between nodes as on one side of a square instead of deleting whole square.
Well, I got program to crash while using combination of node edit and scissors.

Replicable steps/LBRN file @Dskall ?
I got one earlier but i couldn’t make it happen again.
Playing with this file trying to close paths around feet.
Actually, using scissors to check for closed paths mostly, and node edit. Took fair amount of time before it crashed.

All, We’re currently working with Google to sort out the false positive malware warning on the installer downloads. We believe part of the issue stems from our new release download server. We’ve been able to now “verify” that server domain with Google - this basically tells them that we certify that we own and fully control it.
This already seems to fix it for some but it appears to be taking awhile to the update to get out to all chrome users. We’re still working to figure out what else can be done to speed this up and ensure it doesn’t happen again.
