Rotary Move button behavior

Hi,
I have a NEJE Max 4 with a rotary A axis. In the Move window, the Popup help(tooltip?) that shows when I hover over the two curved arches with arrows states one is for clockwise rotation and the other is for counterclockwise rotation. I searched the Move window document page and could find nothing specific for these two buttons.

If I click the clockwise button, rotary moves desired direction clockwise; however, if I fire the counterclockwise button, the rotary first rotates desired amount counterclockwise and then immediately rotates clockwise back to original position. Just like when you fire the Test button in Rotary Setup.

Questions:

  1. Is this expected behavior or a bug?
  2. Is there a GRBL parameter that affects this behavior?
  3. Why nothing in documentation on Move window describing this button and is Popup tooltip wrong??

I have double checked the rotary settings from NEJE and think mine are in synch with Neje’s recommendations. Been using both NEJE and LB for 3 years and believe this button’s behavior has changed but since I just noticed the behavior not sure which version the behavior change was introduced.

This is a confirmed bug.
It was reported in detail in this thread:

I’ve already logged it internally. Will ping a dev to take a closer look!

It likely got introduced in version 2.0. Rotary jogging should work as expected in version 1.7.08.
