I am trying to modify the red image. what I want to do is enlarge the rectangular slots by about .3 mm. My idea was to rotate the original image so that the straight lines in it are either horizontal or vertical. Then use the blue rectangle to do a subtract. Is this the best solution in your opinion? If not the question is how do I rotate the red image so that the straight lines are perfectly horizontal or vertical? Is there a rotate button that would cycle through the straight surfaces on the boundary clockwise and line the whole image to the horizontal or vertical?
