Ruida 6445: 0-0 is possible, then nothing more

Hi,

I have no idea what happend nor how I can reset this.

I kind of worked with the axis settings in Lightburn bc the ruida was runnin in the wrong direction for 0-0.

I changed the wiring polarity, then this worked. I changed the Lightburn setting so THIS worked.

But then sth happened and the creeping direction in search of 0-0 inversed. I assume the Ruida thought it’s in both wrong quadrants and tried to creep from supposedly negative positions to the assumed 0-0?

So I inversed the wiring again, this time to the factory settings.

Now, when it has found 0-0, I can move no more to x nd y (positive) with either the Ruida or Lightburn. I can only run against the wall, loosing steps, then move a bit around.

Conclusion: Ruida thinks it’s correctly on 0-0 and moves only to calculatory positive values which are “against the wall” (hardware -x and -y)
Now I can only change the wiring direction, but then it will creep into the wrong directions when resetting.

Question: so how do I tell the Ruida in which direction it has to search for 0-0 ? I can either search or move correctly, not both.

I could not find any Ruida settings for where is 0-0 (left bottom corner) or like. Well I did, but it had no effect - or was I too confused?

Ruida controller always seek home switches in the negative direction. The corner where the switches are will be (0,0) after homing succeeds, with the coordinates increasing away from the switches in whatever direction that may be.

We crawled through the process a while ago and I wrote it up so I could find it again:

The position of the home switches determines the coordinate system layout: there are no other choices.
