Is Lightburn now fully compatible with Ruida 8445 controller?

I am about to get a Laser Cutting Machine that comes with 2 controller options - 8445G or 6445G. I would like to go with the 8445G as I believe 8445G is the latest and has more memory. But is it fully compatible with LightBurn now, especially over the LAN network? Can anyone using the 8445 series of controllers throw some light on this?

Using the Ethernet port, rather than USB, will avoid a myriad problems with USB. Using wired Ethernet will avoid a myriad problems with unstable WiFi.

The Ruida controller must be in the same subnet with everything else on the network:

Hey all, I can’t seem to connect Lightburn to my Ruida 8445 via LAN. They’re both on the same network and both connected. I can ping the controller from the PC, but Lightburn just doesn’t see it. A bit of googling suggests that is may be a subnet issue, suggesting Ruida controllers only support 255.255.255.0 subnets, whereas I have a 255.255.254.0 subnet. Before I go to the trouble of creating a VLAN just for the laser and PC, can anyone confirm this, or suggest other things to try? Thanks. …
