Safe Maximum PWM with CO2 Lasers

For a glass tube powered by a normal 'ole power supply, the reality is that your Laser PSU has a G (ground). It also has the 5V input that is essentially the power on signal to the LPSU. You have an IN that accepts either a “digital” PWM or an Analog signal that is used to trim the aforementioned 5V signal from 0 to 5v (which in turn regulates the LPSU’s current to the laser tube).

How to adjust laser pulse rate (PPS)?

You shouldn’t change the operating frequency of your CO2 glass laser. If your controller has a variable for that, it’s to match the PSU with the tube, not for on-the-fly adjustment. That’s a function of an RF CO2 laser, rather than the DC CO2 lasers in Chinese machines. If you want ‘dotted’ lines, use the layer editor to set perforation mode or dot mode.
