Safety Eyewear for Prescription Glasses?

My apologies if this has been asked before but I have an issue with my laser safety glasses.

They work great for the laser wavelength I’m using but they don’t fit well over my prescription glasses which my poor old eyes need to see.

Has anyone had any experience with a brand of glasses that work well with prescription eye wear? I’d prefer the clip on type but anything that lets me wear both would be nice.

Thanks for any help I may get.

Dave

Hello, Dave
Same boat. I use goggles, had to get a large pair but for quick on - off the fit over the glasses is snug enough don’t need the head strap, if wearing for a while I use the strap.
I think they are cloudray but don’t remember now.
I have fiber so needed the 1064.

Thanks for the idea Al. But I came up with a solution.

These are the glasses I’m using. I just cut the side shields off.

The only time I need them is when I’m setting up my 40 watt laser. Even at a very low power the dot is pretty bright so I use these when I line up my cuts.

I watch the laser using a USB camera in the enclosure when it’s operating.

Thor Labs offers goggles with a clip-in insert that can be fitted with prescription lenses.
