Scale Factor issues

I`m looking for a way to make my scale factor the same, from the software to the machine.
100 mm on the software page is different once you sent it to the machine. any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like the machine isn’t calibrated properly - LightBurn sends commands like “move 10 mm left”, so the machine needs to know how big a single step is in order to do that correctly.

How are steps calibrated?

That’s fairly easy, though it depends on whether your controller uses “step size” or “steps per mm”. They’re used for the same thing, but the calculation is a little different. 80 steps per mm is 1/80mm per step. If you tell the machine to make a cut that is 100mm across, but it comes out to 150mm, your ratio is 150/100, or 1.5. You can use Edit > Machine Settings in LightBurn to adjust the step length for each axis, and follow the instructions in the above post I liked for how to do this.
