Settings for 1 mm thick carton

Hello everyone,
I’m a newbie on laser engraving and cutting and on BlackFriday I allowed myself the ortur laser master 20w.

Now I don’t know how to setup lightburn to cut through 1 mm thick carton, I’ve tried veener and it worked fine, but with this carton I’ve my problems.

Does anyone know the correct settings for cutting and engraving?

Thanks in advance
Franz-Georg

You will need to tell us what the “carton” is, its color and the material it is made with. With your laser, light colored objects are harder to cut / engrave (white is the most reflective) because most of the light energy get bounced off the surface and does not deposit enough energy to penetrate as well as darker colored objects do. Could this be the issue?

Hello, I mean a stable cardboard, it’s colour is grey.

Hello,

now I’ve the weight too, its a 33 g cardboard what I want to cut through.
Can anyone suggest me with the correct settings for that one?

Regards
Franz-Georg
