Smoothieware device shows CNC‑style controls — no laser options

Thanks John, that’s really helpful context - makes sense that it’s all config-file driven rather than anything LightBurn can toggle, which matches how I’ve been working with it (editing config.txt directly on the SD card).

If you can track down that old thread, I’d really appreciate it - I’ve got a fairly detailed technical history built up on my main thread here if it’s useful for comparison against whatever you got working before:

Short version: motion (X/Y, endstops, homing) all works fine through LightBurn. The laser itself won’t fire - I’ve confirmed the PSU’s L (fire enable) and IN (power level) terminals are the right ones to use, and L toggles correctly via M3/M5, but I haven’t yet gotten real current to flow even with both L and IN driven together. Getting good input from a couple of others on that thread too working through PSU-side wiring specifics.

Would be great to see how a working Smoothie K40 setup was wired if you can find it.

Thanks,

Brian
