Stick fonts for laser engraving .150" high

Trying to use my Lightburn again after 8 months of a few heart attacks and only one stroke, Trying to do very small writing on scale ammo boxes that I can use in my model RC Huey helicopter. It looks like I need what is a stick font? Thanks

There is a SHX font collection available for download in this thread. Maybe one of those will do what you seek.

I use the SHX ISO9 font almost exclusively. Ran a test on Baltic Birch ply with a 10w laser. I could actually read it down to 1mm tall text.

The Ruida controller has Dot Mode to throttle the laser power down for small-scale patterns:

Those are 1.5 mm tall on a CD, with dots on 0.2 mm centers. The machine has too much power to carve tiny characters in normal Line mode, but they come out looking just fine as dots.

You can adjust the power and dot spacing to make them look a little less … dotty, but they’ll never look quite as good as a true vector character.
