SVGnest won't accept SVG files exported from Lightburn

Nesting does not help with the majority of projects

Have you ever considered adding nesting capability to Lightburn?

I tried Deepnest. it was fun seeing it in action and doing the dirty work for me, but then i found out that i can do better myself :). really, i gave it enough time to solve a given puzzle ( i cut shapes to fit in my small laser bed) but even though it came up with some nice solutions i managed to pack the shapes even better. can’t say, retrospectively, that i would have managed better without seeing the solutions Deepnest came up with, but the solution i reached is not like tightening the gaps…

Having said that i have a small machine, the “K40” style, so often i need to split parts, laser the parts, and then glue these together so i wish for nesting program to help me out but as you all said - sometimes we humans do things better and faster. it all depends on the workload. i can’t see any 3D printing service provider who prints daily on many commercial SLS machines without the use of a 3D nesting software. no way around this.
