Text Issues When Importing from Inkscape

I do my design work in Inkscape and I’m trying to import my drawings into Lightburn. The first SVG worked fine but the drawing I’m trying to import now has text. Lightburn rejected the text so I went back to Inkscape and converted the text to path and then imported it. The text looks OK in Lightburn but when I engrave it, only the horizontal portion of the letters shows up. Any ideas?

Most likely the path is duplicated and cancelling itself out. Check for a doubled-up copy of the path.

Why do things disappear when I fill them, but not when I cut them?

If you have shapes that vanish when scanned, it’s almost always because you have doubled-up shapes, sitting exactly on top of each other, and they’re cancelling one another out, like this: [image] Notice the last pair of circles disappears completely in the scan preview? Make sure your shapes aren’t grouped (you can tell because the selection pattern will be just simple dashes if the shapes aren’t grouped), then use Edit > Delete Duplicates to find overlapping shapes and delete them.
