Update to latest version doesn't work

I just tried to update to the latest version and this error comes up:

A network error occurred : TLS initialization failed

With that error, I’m assuming you’re on 1.5.01? There was a known bug with that version. Manually download and install from here:

Yes this seems to be the issue on TLS errors

Oops, I didn’t pay attention to the error. I just assumed it was the same issue.

Hello !
Same issue here, on a windows 11 laptop. I deleted C++ libraries (had 12 of them…) and reinstalled version 1.7.0 but still no luck. No error message, no window, nothing at all (tried in admin too). I rolled back to 1.6.03 which works perfectly. Any idea what is wrong ?

Try this instead

Visit this page - download both redistributable
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

Install and update your C++ Redistributable
Once done - run 1.7 installer again
