Updated software will not launch program

This has come up a lot since the 1.7 launch. A quick search of the forum revealed this:

Lightburn prerelease not launching

Going morning, I have been using the 1.7 prerelease for a few weeks now. Lastnight I closed the program and went to open it and nothing happened. I tried my 1.6 and it opened fine. I tried 1.7 again and still nothing. I uninstalled 1.7 and downloaded the lastest release and installed it. The install went fine. But again, when I double click the desktop icon, the curser spins like it is going to open and nothing happens. I never get a lightburn splash screen. Has anyone encountered this i…
