Upgrade issues - getting a warning "A network error occured: TLS Initiliziation failed"

Trying to upgrade software on my SurfacePro 8 and getting this warning:

I tried several things from a search in Google regarding TLS initialization issues but they didn’t resolve when I tried to re-upload the upgrades - I still received the same error.

I have a full size laptop attached to my laser that I send jobs to the laser. My SurfacePro 8 doesn’t work to send jobs to the printer.
The upgrade happened without incident on that laptop and is connected to the same network as the SurfacePro 8.

Any suggestions that maybe helpful - Thanks in advance.

This can be fixed by anually updating with the download file from website

Lightburn will not upgrade "a network error occurred: tls initialization failed"

Hello, since my lightburn updated to LightBurn 1.5.01, built Tue 2024-02-06 @ 22:55. I noticed that my software is not updating. When I click on “help” on the top menu and then go to “check for updates” I get an error message that says, “A network error occurred: TLS initialization failed”. Can you please help. I noticed that there is a new update. 1.5.02 on your site and the software is no longer asking me to update automatically… Thank you. plus, I did put a ticket in before…

You need to manually download the latest. Should be in that thread.

I just went thru the same issue on 1.5.01. Downloaded a new copy and it installed the runtime package first, then Lightburn. I did the Check for Updates and it downloaded 1.5.02 okay.

So this shows it was the original build of 1.5.01
Which was patched right after
