Thank you!

Monport 40w laser, just ordered it today to replace an Ortur Laser Master 2 S2
Other than messing around with LightBurn a little with the Ortur, Iâm completely clueless.
Hobbyist, possibly small business if I can figure it out lol

- LB Experience = ZERO, all the way from scratch but the family and friends say that im a nerd
- First as a hobby, maybe in some month more because i would love to make my own buisness thats because i bought it
- Amount of Experience with Laser, ZERO (same as above)
- Dont have any other Equipment (my brother has 3D Printer if this counts ?)
- Dont have E-Commerce Store, first i would love to get some Experience with my Laser and then maybe i look further into building up my own Shop and getting customers, i think i will have a look what the ppl want to buy on a christmas market first or if the industrie needs still barcodes on metal plates as a exampleâŠ

Pete here from Wanganui
Looks like the AccTek has a Ruida controller which should be fine, just not sure what the controller is for the VyTek.
Iâm assuming youâve downloaded the trial version? Should be very evident using âFind my Laserâ in the setup.
I come from an engineering trade with CNC background and with the CADCAM experience find Lightburn very intuitive to use.
Trust youâll enjoy using LB as the rest of us do.
Hi, thatâs a great post introduction idea.
As for me:
1- Iâm Ygrek, from Paris France
2- I got a sculpfun S9 a month ago
3- Searched on some forum and tuto and found that LB is the most used, have the best features, use the best of the laser, so I watched a lot of YT video and guess what? installed it and itâs a wonderfull tool, had to stop for a bit since the S9 donât come with end stop captor, ordered them and just installed them, I now have to configure the board itself, had to use another software to âburnâ the motherboard itself with the new code
4- at first itâs for a hobby, I hope to master it completly and maybe make some money later once I get the right idea and the time for it
5- S9 only for now, itâs a good one, just lacking the metal cuting feature but canât really complain, the job is done
6- I have an anycubic kossel delta as a 3d printer since a few years, marlin controlled with an onctoprint on a pi3
7- not yet, if it happen iâll be happy to share it
Welcome from Portugal.
Hi Bob, hope all is well with you.
Reason for the reach out is that I have just purchased a used Bodor BCL0605MU 80w laser unit . I see from your post that you may have owned, and hopefully still do, one of these units as well.
I am trying to find out as much info as possible about them as I was given hardly any relative information about it, ie technical details, wiring diagrams, specifications for spare parts etc.
This is my first foray out of diode lasers into CO2 lasers and Ruida conrtrol etc. I know the unit says it is wifi but again nothing further. The previous owner has had the machine from new but is unable to provide even basic settings they were using for cutting 3mm ply ( seen working in a demo though ).
Anything you could and would be able to provide would be really appreciated along with any tips etc.
Best Rgds

That is worrisome, but we can deal with that later.
If this is the machine:
Then it may not be compatible with LightBurn, because all of the advanced features require much fancier hardware than the typical Ruida controller can handle.
This site has a bit more information, including a manual:
Which suggests the controller could be either a Ruida or Leetro, although without a hint of the specific type. Pictures of the controller display & âcardâ inside the machine will help pin it down, as well as identify some of the wiring.
Start a separate topic in the âLightBurn Hardware Compatiblityâ category so the information doesnât get lost in here. A good title would be something like âConfiguring a new-to-me BCL-0605MU laserâ .
Hi Ed
Wow, learned more from a quick answer from you in 10 minutes than I have managed to find out everywhere else online, including Bodor, in the past month!!!
Thank you very much for the input and I will follow your directions regarding the request for help.
Thanks again.
