The video shows 0.9.16 (according to the title bar in the video)
Linux Lightburn doesn’t have an obvious way to tell me the version number - it’s not in the title bar, and there’s no ‘about’ box. The ‘generate support data’ probably has it, but it’s encoded in some way so I can’t read that
Help > Check for Updates will check for and download the new version.
Unfortunately not here, it says A network error occurred: Error creating SSL context () (I tried it as part of my investigation). Here is Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (fossa-bulbasaur X38.1), and it is because: qt.network.ssl: Incompatible version of OpenSSL.
The video shows 0.9.16 because it was recorded a week or so ago while the version number we work with internally was still 0.9.16.
That was my guess; but I mention it somewhat so you know in case others get confused also. I looked in the YouTube video description for a hint on what version is being described, but it’s not there, so the only mention is the 0.9.16 which is a red herring. Maybe it’s spoken and I missed it!
