It would be easy to measure the belt teeth and compare with the image that is created. They should match if it’s ‘curtains’…

And this matches @Burn’s measurement of 2mm for both tooth pitch and band pitch.

I still think this is the best hypothesis but need to sort out the other non-compliant data.

I had similar issues with image, what did help as well as setting the DPI lower and speed and reducing the overscanning to 0.1% if Bi directional Scanning selected, try first with Bi directional scanning off, to see if the problem reduced if so then with over scan set to 0% with it on. it helped a lot ! but images are never as easy as they seem to achieve a good result. but hope this helps, worth a try at the least.
